We are a non-profit organization that accomplishes our mission by advocating for funding, policies, and infrastructure that improve conditions for bicyclists and pedestrians, organizing community-building events, and providing free biking and walking educational resources.

2022 was a big year for the NLBWC! We engaged over 2,000 people throughout the year in bike walk educational initiatives, as well as making huge strides in tangible improvements such as new downtown bike racks in collaboration with the Town of New London and preliminary planning for a Downtown Business Bike Walk Loop. We also held our second Be Bike Safe Event at the Kearsarge Regional Elementary School.

Founded in July 2020, we are New London’s first grassroots bicycle and pedestrian advocacy organization working to enhance mobility to create a more vibrant, healthy, and equitable city. Through community leadership and inclusive engagement, NLBWC has become the town's voice for all things biking and walking.
We seek to make active transportation an option for all New Londoners, no matter where they live or where they're trying to go. We work to make our transportation network support active living and working.
